Alrighty, so brain storming about California, the things I know of that I've heard of that sound cool are the Redwoods, the Beaches, Surfing, the Culture, the Music, the Atmosphere, the Weather, the center of Technology, perhaps Green technology, the center of Film... I think that's a good starting point.
So the technology is supposed to be... Silicon Valley. And then Surfing'd be on the Beaches. and... the Redwoods I *think are in the Northern part of the state. Green Tech'd be all over the state, I could find out about Orgs via the net and see what they're about and up to down there. The center of Craigslist is in San Francisco? I think.
There's the Sony Fan Faire in Las Vegas.. Nevada.
